Live life in full bloom – greeting card design
All my designs start as pencil sketches that gradually evolve from rough thumbnails to more “accurate” sketches.
The inspiration for my spring promo this year came from close to home. Every spring we look forward to the two short weeks when the cherry tree outside our front door gets covered in pristine white bloom. It is stunning and I love taking a peak at it through my home office window as I work.
This magical sight is but a fleeting moment – before we know it the delicate blossoms float off the tree like confetti. And so my aim for this project was to capture the magic in my card. Scroll down to the bottom to see some of the initial sketches.
